Fellow Wade Hampton POA Members,
Our next Wade Hampton Property Owners’ Association Annual Meeting will be held at the Wade Hampton Golf Club on Thursday, August 22nd at 3:00pm. Copies of the meeting Agenda, the 2023 Annual Meeting minutes, a 2024 Proxy, and a set of proposed amendments to our Protective Covenants are attached.
The proposed amendments to our Protective Convents are designed to achieve the following objectives:

To clarify the definition of “Short Term Rentals” (Article II, Definition U.)

To add POA members to the list of family members, WHGC members and other persons who are currently exempt from the “Short Term Rentals” limitation (Article III, Section A.)

To limit the minimum size of newly constructed residences and guest houses to no less than 2,600 square feet, with the POA Board having discretion to authorize smaller structures in circumstances where there is no practical alternative (Article IV, Section D, 2.)

To require all new residential construction projects to require oversight by a licensed general contractor (Article IV. Section D, 2a.)

To add a requirement that construction and alteration projects be completed within 24 months after approval by the Design Review Committee, with the POA Board having discretion to approve modest extensions in unusual circumstances (Article IV, H.)
Members of the POA Board believe that these proposed amendments will serve the best interests of all Wade Hampton property owners and recommend their approval by the Membership.
